Taking place in London, the Olympics are really awesome. It takes years and years of training, and it only happens every 4 years so they have just one shot for then. I think it takes a tremendous amount of discipline to make it to the Olympics and be as great as these athletes are. I have extreme respect for most everyone that is involved in the Olympics. Congratulations to everyone that's made it.
However, some things in the Olympics thoroughly upset me. This year in the Olympics, there is no softball whatsoever. On the other hand, they have useless sports such as speed-walking. I may be wrong, but it doesn't take much to walk speedily.
Also, Michael Phelps is quite the topic. He didn't pass a drug test and did marijuana, yet he can still compete in the Olympics this year. Uh? Some people can't do sooo much because of the stigma on marijuana, yet he can waltz right back in and join the Olympic swimming. This is really confusing and astounding. I think the stigma is just ruining the people who aren't a big-shot. Whatever.
Remember:
- Discipline and practice is what makes perfect and gets you to achieve what you may believe is impossible.
- Be a leader, not a follower.
